Fortaleza do Guincho Restaurant and Bar
Since 1998 Antoine Westermann, whose Le Buerehiesel restaurant in Strasbourg earned him 3 Michelin stars, has displayed the results of the effect of the Portuguese setting on his French culinary background at the Fortaleza do Guincho. Combined with rigorously selected ingredients, this has ensured that the restaurant is not only of the best in Portugal, but is truly unique. Antoine Westermann’s cuisine at the Fortaleza do Guincho is conducted by Vincent Farges.
At the Fortaleza do Guincho, the restaurant’s magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean adds a special flavour to the incomparable dishes. The Wine Spectator Magazine award winning wine list, offering more than 800 wines, is arguably the best in Portugal.
There are always various menus on offer, and the most difficult part of your meal will be choosing between the Season, Degustation and à-la-carte menus. Every month a different special dinner celebrating the relationship between food and wine is held, including wines specially chosen to accompany the dishes, or, if you like, with dishes carefully chosen to complement the wine.
The restaurant is open daily from 12:30 to 15:00 for lunch and from 19:30 to 22:30 for dinner.
The bar, spread over 3 rooms including the library, is open daily from 11:00 to 01:00.
